Onshore Student Placements at Ochsner
Information for Onshore Domestic & International Students
Onshore Domestic and International Students who are not part of the UQ-Ochsner MD program have the opportunity to apply for clinical immersions in Year 4 for the Clinical Extension and Elective terms. Placements are subject to availability. Please refer to UQ Learning Community Immersions for additional details.
The information listed below is specific to clinical placements at Ochsner.
8. Ochsner Computer Access
Ochsner computer access is created for visiting Onshore Students prior to commencing clinical placements at Ochsner Clinical School. Students with confirmed placements at Ochsner will receive a notification of access details and login credentials via their UQ student email accounts. Students who have not received these details within four weeks of the clinical placement should contact med.ocsStudentAdmin@uq.edu.au.
Setting up Ochsner access
Using your Ochsner User ID and temporary password, which will be sent to your UQ student email from ISProvisioning@ochsner.org, enroll in MyPassword to reset and create a new Ochsner password. Refer to the MyPassword Enrollment instructions. Students must enroll in MyPassword before accessing the online modules. Once you have completed the MyPassword enrollment, you can login to the Ochsner Workday Learning (OWL).
NOTE: Students may experience difficulties accessing the websites for MyPassword and OWL, while still in Australia. For many complex reasons, the Ochsner.org sites are not always accessible everywhere in Australia. The sites are definitely accessible on campus at St. Lucia and Herston, and anywhere in the CBD of Brisbane.
