5. Confirmation of Placement Documents

Students will receive official documentation from the Ochsner Clinical School Administration once a clinical placement is approved by the Faculty of Health, Medicine and Behavioural Sciences. This will also consist of letters addressed to the student and to both the U.S. Embassy and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) explaining the clinical placement, duration, and qualifications to help students and Consular Officers better understand how students qualify for the B-1 visa application process.  Students should keep these documents and have them, along with a valid passport, available during travel to verify their reason for entering the United States.

Students who have not received confirmation documents by the end of October and are approved for a placement at Ochsner should contact the Ochsner Clinical School Administrative Office.
