Information for Onshore Domestic & International Students

Onshore Domestic and International Students who are not part of the UQ-Ochsner MD program have the opportunity to apply for clinical immersions in Year 4 for the Clinical Extension, Elective, and PRINT terms. Placements are subject to availability. 2. Clinical Extension Placement Preferencing

Discipline Preferences

Onshore Students undertaking their Clinical Extension at Ochsner may submit the online application form to indicate their preferred disciplines. This must be completed during the designated application window: 7 – 13 September 2026, as outlined on the Year 4, 2027 Onshore Allocation Timeline.

Placement details will be released by 30 October 2026 and viewable on Placements under the Confirmed tab. Shortly after placements are confirmed, you will receive confirmation documentation that you may need for travel purposes.
