honoring the body, mind and heart.
Sitting with, 
finding grace,
offering the time and a place.

Moments of reflection, celebration,
transition, farewells.
Holding hope and wishing well.

Encouragement, creativity, 
hurting parts and levity,
finding that thing
and setting it free.
That is art therapy.

'Being With' is my attempt at representing all the moments that make up my career so far, as well as the complexities of my role within a government service. In the spaces between the medical model and mandatory expectations, I ground myself with the idea that being with someone can mean the most. A little creativity and imagination help too.
