Nesting Grounds: Spaces to navigate new horizons
Artwork size: 127cm x 92cm
Artwork medium: Mixed media - textiles and paint
Our nesting grounds provided space to arrange, sort, contain and prepare ourselves in expressive avenues. We found refuge and friendship in the midst of global fears and isolated locations.
We've navigated the art therapy environment in different industries and roles - planning, charting paths, trusting the process and mentoring others along the way. We are finding our true norths as we head to destinations exciting, new, challenging and more authentic to how we want to practice. From nest to navigator.
A collaborative, group-led reflection piece around a conversation catch-up 4 years post-graduation. Amy, Alyce, Angela, Cielle, Jess, Manaali and Ebony engaged in discussions around university and professional experiences where common themes and concepts were gathered into a co-created artwork.
