The Medical School recognises that exceptional circumstances can lead to you requesting an internal transfer between Clinical Schools.

These guidelines will provide an overview of the application process and timeline for you to apply to transfer Clinical School.

7. Late Clinical School transfer applications

7.1 In exceptional circumstances, you may apply for late consideration for a Clinical School transfer after the application period has closed.

7.2 To be considered for late consideration, you must demonstrate, with supporting documentation, that:

  • Circumstances existed that made it not possible for you to apply during the designated application period; or
  • There has been a significant and unexpected change to your personal circumstances.

7.3 A lack of knowledge or awareness of the procedure to seek a transfer is not considered a circumstance beyond your control and does not meet the criteria for an application to be considered late.

7.4 The eligibility of late applications will be considered in accordance with requirements outlined in the Student Grievance Resolution procedure.

7.5 Whilst an application may be accepted late with supported exceptional circumstances, the Medical School cannot guarantee that a place will be available in the desired Clinical School and/or GBCS Learning Community.
