Community participation
Ways to get involved
Undergraduate student placements
Observational placements are a vital part of the Bachelor of Medical Science curriculum. These placements introduce students to the broader community supporting health care and to understand the interprofessional approach that they will need to take to patient care as future doctors. If you are interested in hosting a community or allied health placement for undergraduate students, please contact CQU on CM17@cqu.edu.au.
Become an MMI Interviewer
The Multiple Mini Interview (MMI) is a specialist interview process which aims to help select students who would be best suited to the specific locations and educational requirements of the Regional Medical Pathway. MMIs are held for both undergraduate (CQU) and postgraduate (UQ) entry.
If you are interested in becoming an interviewer:

Support our students
Undertaking the Regional Medical Pathway can be a challenge for many of our students: some travel from rural areas; some come from disadvantaged backgrounds; but all are dedicated to becoming our regional doctors of the future. Scholarships form a vital part of the Regional Medical Pathway, ensuring financial circumstance is not a barrier to studying medicine. Our vision is to provide financial support to all RMP students who need it.
If you are interested in learning more about scholarship opportunities, please contact the CQU and UQ Advancement teams on ourpartners@cqu.edu.au and med.advancement@uq.edu.au
Our hospital foundations support the regional patients, clinicians and students.
