Post-Conference Report
Thank you to everyone who attended and/or presented at the 2021 Medical Student Research Conference and Showcase on 6 October 6-7:30pm at the TRI Auditorium.
This year’s call for abstracts attracted 54 submissions from which 10 oral presentations, 14 live posters and 24 ePosters were accepted. After our virtual event in 2019, the move back to an in-person conference this year was welcome and enjoyed by 70 attendees including, medical students, provisional and pre-med students and staff.
Professor Stuart Carney, the UQ Medical Dean, opened the conference, followed by student oral presentations and a panel discussion / Q&A session. Professor Di Eley gave closing remarks and announced the winners of the oral presentations and live poster displays.
