The UQ Medical Society (UQMS), Ochsner Medical Student Association (OMSA) and Office of Medical Education (OME) are pleased to announce a “Virtual” Medical Student Research Conference on 16 October at 10am to 12:30pm.  Registration is open and free. Everyone is welcome.

Thanks to over 80 medical students who submitted abstracts to this year’s research conference that will showcase Oral Presentations and ePosters during a webinar.

There will be several awards given to the best research in several categories. All Oral presentations and ePosters will have at least two judges. Judges will comprise researchers and Clinician-Scientists from the Faculty of Medicine and other UQ Research Institutes and Centres. Winners of ePosters and Orals will be announced during the Conference Webinar on 16 October.

ePosters are available to be viewed via the button below.
Reminder: There is no presentation involved for ePosters. All posters have been judged and the winners in each category will be announced at the Conference Webinar.

Information for Oral Presentations

A webinar format will be used to showcase several short presentations over approximately 2.5 hours. Each oral presenter will have 7 minutes talking time to present their research.

Presentations will be in grouped in fours with time for Q&A after each group.  Please keep your presentation strictly to 7 minutes maximum. You will be asked to stop if you go over time.
