Community participation
Ways to get involved
Undergraduate student placements
Placements are a vital part of the Bachelor of Biomedical Sciences curriculum. There are three opportunities to introduce students to the broader community supporting health care and help to understand the interprofessional approach that they will need to take to patient care as future doctors. One such opportunity (BIO 3102 Determinants of Health in Rural, Regional and Remote Australia) involves a mandatory placement in third year, involving a two week observational placement. If you are interested in hosting undergraduate students, please contact WIL.healthandmedicalscience@usq.edu.au.
Become an MMI Interviewer
The Multiple Mini Interview is a specialist interview process which aims to help select students who would be best suited to the specific locations and educational requirements of the Medical Pathway. MMIs are held for both undergraduate (UniSQ) and postgraduate (UQ) entry.
