The Flowchart highlights all Head Start Phase 1 and Head Start Phase 2 activities. Please stay within these activities for each Phase.

1. Ensure you are progressing satisfactorily in all your MD coursework

Research is a vital component of your MD degree, but Extended Research options must fit within your MD requirements. 

  • Choose your research carefully and discuss your MD responsibilities with your research supervisor.
  • Commit to what you can achieve.
  • Choose projects that are flexible and not time critical. 
  • Wet lab and clinical research which involves strict timeframes is not encouraged.
