Find a project
If you are unsure how to get started in research, the Portal’s ‘Find a Project’ database is a good place to start. Browse the list of available projects and make an enquiry by submitting the Project Enquiry form.
Step 1: Search or scroll through the 'Find a Project' database for an area of interest, location or research. New projects are listed at the top.
Step 2: Click on the project title for more information about the research and the supervisors.
- It is best to right click and open each project in a new tab, so that the search results are not lost.
Step 3: Click the "Enquire" button on the project summary page if you are interested and want to know more. You must attach your CV to your enquiry. After you submit you will receive an email confirmation with a copy of your enquiry.
- Be patient. If you do not receive a reply after 10 working days please contact studentresearch@uq.edu.au to follow-up.
What happens next?
If you have received a reply from the supervisor, and agree on a project, the next step is to complete the required form before you can begin the research.
Go to the “For Students” page and follow Step 4 and Step 5.
