Caboolture
A parent’s room is located on Ground Level of the new Clinical Services Building (main building).
Greenslopes Private Hospital
There is a parent room on the lobby level of the hospital just near the main entrance. It is private space, able to be used by one person at a time. It has a sink, infant change table, comfy chair etc. Door can be locked if desired.
Ipswich
There is a breastfeeding room in the hospital (level 5, Ward Block, near maternity) that a Medical Student on placement can use.
Mater
Student Services Room at Mater Clinical Unit. If occupied by MSST, speak with MCU team and they can take the student to lower ground and open a private room.
Mater Mothers: Level 5
Ochsner
Ask the Information Desk at whatever campus you are on. Ochsner do have a private room on the 1st floor in the Academic Center, specifically for this purpose. There’s a sign on the door. It’s located near Rosa’s desk. See guide (PDF, 1.8 MB).
PA Hospital
Room located on ground floor near the café. No fridge currently.
Queensland Childrens Hospital
QCH has a parent’s room located on level 7 (same level as UQ space), and there are other parenting rooms throughout the hospital.
QEII
Located in the Red Cross Room . Level 2, near ward 2A. If needed, students will need to call security to open the door, on 3182 6381. Fridge available.
RBWH
There is a breastfeeding room on level 6 of the Ned Hanlon Building.
Redcliffe
There is a staff room dedicated for breast feeding on level 2 outside the Theatres in the main building which is accessible to all students and staff.
Redland
Located in the Stradbroke Ward, Level 1, Room 33. Has a room code (1234). Reception close by when the code is needed. No fridge but milk can be stored in the nursery next door.
St Lucia
As per Breastfeeding on campus procedure.
TPCH
A Mother’s Room is located in the hospital’s Education Centre near the toilets.
TRI
Level 2 – located next to the security office. Has a BF chair and fridge for storage.
GAF (Gross Anatomy Facility)
Email GAF staff to receive a pregnancy information pack regarding risks/precautions with exposure to chemicals.
