Mental Health First Aid Training for commencing students
The Faculty of Medicine is excited to offer incoming UQ medical students the opportunity to complete the Mental Health First Aid (MHFA) certification.
MHFA training helps you recognise, reach out and offer initial support to your peers, friends and family who are experiencing a mental health crisis or developing a mental health issue such as anxiety, depression or a substance use disorder. By participating in MHFA training, you will learn about the signs and symptoms of these problems, and where and how people can get help. The training will be provided in a blended learning mode through online modules and interactive sessions.
This opportunity will be offered before Orientation Week and further details released on this page. Upon successful completion you will receive a digital Certificate of Accreditation as a Mental Health First Aider.
