We recognise that you may face challenges during your enrolment in the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program. There are many different supports available, and it can sometimes be difficult to know who to reach out to for different issues. This page outlines the supports available for academic concerns.

When you are faced with academic challenges, generally, your learning community will be your first point of contact (table 1).

You can also contact your Academic Guidance Lead for specialised academic support (table 2), in instances where the learning community is not able to assist.

A 'stepped-care approach' is taken to the provision of academic guidance. Where appropriate, you may be referred to other staff or you will be supported to develop a learning plan to aid your studies. The specialised academic advice may also include the provision of guidance to educators and support teams to ensure a stepped-care approach is taken that maximises the support you receive. If you require guidance regarding course content, learning activities and assessment, including questions about results and feedback, please submit this to your learning community who can escalate to the relevant course coordinator, if required.
