5. Important reminders before the student research may begin
If you accept a student, please remind them to REGISTER their research.
- This is mandatory for every UQ medical student involved in research as part of their degree.
If your student does not complete the Registration form, they will:
- Not be covered by UQ's insurance whilst undertaking research with you.
- Not be recognised or eligible for any awards for MD student research.
- Not receive an official letter of acknowledgment from the Medical Dean.
As supervisor, be sure to receive a copy of the completed registation form.
Please also remind your student to report any research output they achieve such as a co-authorship on a journal paper or a conference abstract. They can report their research achievements on the Portal at any time.
