The prevalence and determinants of immunisation in older Australians by GP registrars: a secondary analysis of ReCEnT data

This was an exploratory study which has analysed data from the Registrars Clinical Encounters in Training (ReCEnT) project. Univariate and multivariable regressions were used to detect associations between a recommended vaccine being prescribed or given and a number of patients, registrar, practice, and consultation factors. Key findings included vulnerable populations (first nations, rural environments, and low SES areas) were the least likely to receive an immunisation and new patients (to the practice or the registrar) had a greater odds of immunisation.
