Dr David King

Dr King teaches into the General Practice course, as well as the Evidence-based Medicine subject within the Global Health course. Recent roles include Academic Course Coordinator of the General Practice course, and Academic Co-ordinator of the Urban LinCc project (a longitudinal placement for medical students in urban general practice). He does sessional General Practice at the Student Health Service, St. Lucia and the Refugee health clinic at the Mater Hospital.
David is the Queensland state representative for Doctors for the Environment Australia and has delivered many lectures to professional and lay audiences on the links between the environment and health. He is a senior examiner for the AMC, the RACGP and has conducted some practice-based assessment for APHRA. He is a member of AAAPC, RACGP and NTEU.
