Our UQ Ochsner graduates secure residencies in highly competitive programs, at leading hospitals across the US. Our 2023 class secured a match rate of 99% – testament to the quality of students entering our program as well as the curriculum taught by our faculty in both Queensland and Louisiana.

Two 2023 Canadian PR graduates who participated in the 2024 CaRMS Match were successful in obtaining a residency. In total, 7 UQ Canadian PR graduates (from across a range of graduation years) participated in the 2024 CaRMS Match, achieving a 70% match rate.

Overall, 100% of our 2023 Canadian PR graduates have obtained an internship or residency in Australia or Canada.

Only one 2022 Canadian PR graduate participated in the 2023 CaRMS Match, and this graduate was successful in obtaining a residency.  In total, 17 UQ Canadian PR graduates (from across a range of graduation years) participated in the 2023 CaRMS Match, achieving a 53% match rate.

Overall, 100% of our 2022 Canadian PR graduates have obtained an internship or residency in Australia, Canada or the US.

Due to the impact of COVID-19, only one Canadian PR 2020 Graduate participated in the CaRMS 2021 Match, and this graduate was successful in obtaining a residency. Overall, 95% of our Canadian PR 2020 Graduates have obtained an internship or residency in Australia or Canada.

The majority of our graduates obtain internships in Australia.
