LGBTQIA+ resources
I identify as LGBTQIA+. Where can I find a community?
I would like to see a LGBTIQ+ Friendly GP.
I am seeking support.
- Support options for MD students
- Anonymous LGBTIQ+ peer support/referral: qlife.org.au or 1800 184 527
I am feeling unsafe.
If you are experiencing LGBTQIA+ related bullying or harassment, report it immediately to the Medical School Student Support team. UQ Union, a member of the Ally Network or Student Services are also available for support and advice.
External services:
- PFLAG (Parents and friends of Lesbians and Gays)
- Diverse Voices is a not-for-profit organisation with a focus on the wellbeing of the LGBTQIA+ community

Discrimination and Harassment Contact Officers (DHCOs) are trained UQ staff members. Students can contact them with enquiries related to discrimination, harassment and bullying, including about:
- UQ policies
- grievance resolution procedures
- access to support services that are internal and external to UQ.
