After a 5 year break, ACE has agreed that the time is right  for a repeat Endocarditis Symposium!

The date:

Saturday October 12th, 2024.

This is expected to be an all-day Hybrid Conference (0900 to 1700) with an optional networking dinner afterwards.

Being Hybrid enables several international speakers to be invited, which would not otherwise be possible for a non-industry meeting of this size.

Face to face attendance is still encouraged, to aid networking.

The Themes:

The centrepiece of the Symposium is expected to be an unveling of the ACE IE datafields/ACE endocarditis registry  which have been several years in preparation, so that a new era in endocarditis research and management can commence in Australasia.

A link to the dedicated datafields/registry page is below.

Collaborations/ IE registry design

The secondary theme will be "difficult IE"

Suggestions (including volunteers) for talks most welcome : email ieQ@health.qld.gov.au

Suggestions welcome until July 10.

The Speakers:

Robin Patel (Mayo, USA)

Emil Fosbøl (Denmark)

Doug Wall (CTS)

Cassandra Vale (pharm)

Mbakise Matebele (ICU)

More speakers will be announced in July

The location:

Brisbane is the place to be in October!!

October is the month when the old Queensland advert "Beautiful one day.. perfect the next!" rings most true.

Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast  and Toowoomba are all short drives/ bus-rides (or train ride for Gold Coast) from the venue.

Bring the family for a Queensland holiday and squeeze Australasia's major endocarditis symposium into just one full day!
