Brief synopsis:

Dr Laura Desrosiers received her medical degree from The New York College of Osteopathic Medicine in 2007. She completed her residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology and Good Samaritan Hospital in 2011. She completed her subspecialty training in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive surgery at the ICAHN School of Medicine, Mount Sinai Hospital in New York. She currently splits her time working as a physician at Ochsner Medical Center in New Orleans and Doctors Hospital in The Bahamas in the division of Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstructive surgery. She is well respected among her peers and has written numerous articles in peer-reviewed journals. Her areas of research include structural and biomechanical changes which occur in pelvic organ prolapse and incontinence. She has a keen interest in the microstructural and functional effects these changes have both acutely and chronically on pelvic floor disorders.
