Swathi is a medical student and a PhD candidate with the School of Psychology. Her thesis will focus on the neurobiology of social cognition in dementia and healthy ageing populations. Her other research interests involve impulse control disorders in Parkinson’s disease, and the use of non-invasive brain stimulation to improve cognitive function. Swathi has a keen interest in student advocacy and leadership. She is currently the Vice-President of the UQ Union Association for Postgraduate Students, and the Postgraduate Representative on the Research Committee of the UQ Academic Board. She is also the recipient of a UQ Advantage Award.
