Born in Melbourne, Timothy Liu is a dual Doctor of Medicine & Master of Philosophy student at the University of Queensland. Previously, he completed a First Class Honours thesis at the Bionics Institute, Melbourne, on auditory rehabilitation for cochlear implant recipients. He is now conducting research in the field of immunology with supervisors Dr James Wells and Prof Peter Soyer at the University of Queensland Diamantina Institute. This research aims to characterise inflammatory signatures of suspicious skin rashes, with a view to improve methods of diagnosis.
