Lisa is an MPhil Student with the Discipline of General Practice. Lisa's MPhil is a systematic review entitled "CPD - comparing the effectiveness of face to face, online and blended learning in the health professions". This compares online, face-to-face and blended learning in the delivery and outcomes of CME/CPD for health care professionals. Due to Lisa's extensive Asian experience the final thesis will review this analysis with consideration to Asia. She is currently under the supervision of Prof Mieke Van Driel, Professor John Marley and Professor Julie Hepworth. She is presently co-author of a paper on CME systems in the larger emerging markets of India, China and Indonesia and her interests cover all continuing professional development in the health professions.
She is a regular presenter at international CME/CPD conferences (and is this year presenting at one of the preconference days at AMEE) and is a board member of the Global Alliance for Continuing Medical Education (GAME).
Lisa owns her own medical education business with offices in Sydney and Singapore and spends a lot of time travelling globally working predominantly with pharmaceutical clients to assist in the continuing education of doctors, nurses and pharmacists.
Lisa hopes to continue her studies following this MPhil with a PhD (time permitting).
