Caroline has held a number of health executive positions before managing numerous research and policy development programs at state and national level. Caroline is Director, Centre for Integrated Care & Innovation at Mater Ltd, South Brisbane. Her area of research interest is in improved health system integration with the development and implementation of innovative models, an area in which she has published and presented internationally.
Caroline holds adjunct positions as Honorary Senior Fellow, Mater Research Institute – UQ and Honorary Senior Lecturer, Discipline of General Practice, School of Medicine, UQ. She completed a PhD with UQ, exploring ‘A governance framework for integrated primary/secondary health service delivery in Australia’. Caroline is currently an investigator in two Centres’ of Research Excellence (CRE’s) in Primary Care Reform. Caroline brings longstanding track records in policy relevant research and policy advocacy involving integrated governance approaches, policy reform, multidisciplinary, team-based care delivery and e-health.
In 2011 Caroline was an invited member of a 7 person Australian delegation to the ‘International thought-leaders in Primary Care’ conference, Washington DC, USA and is a conference organiser of the International Primary Health Care Reform Conference’s held biannually in Australia.
