Kristen is a clinical pharmacist and PhD Scholar with the Primary Care Clinical Unit.  Her PhD research aims to minimise inappropriate polypharmacy in community-dwelling older people in primary care.  Her research has been funded through one of the NHMRC Centres of Research Excellence.  Kristen's PhD project reflects her research and professional focus of implementing evidence into practice to facilitate the quality use of medicines, especially in vulnerable patient groups. 

Kristen has experience across a variety of clinical and professional settings.  Whilst carrying out her PhD, she has undertaken advanced clinical training in primary care as part of the CHARMING Institute’s Advanced Primary Care Pharmacist (APCP) Fellowship.  Kristen also holds an Adjunct Lecturer appointment​ with the School of Pharmacy at the University of Queensland.
