RCS student private rental subsidies
We encourage students enrolled in the regional based Medical Pathways to seek private rentals, supported by rental subsidies to help offset costs. This strategy allows us to prioritise the students in Year 4 who undertake multiple placements away from their primary location. Students will be supported with local housing contacts, a rental reference and can apply for the rental subsidy as below:
Private lease subsidies:
•$3,000 per eligible student
•$6,000 per household for students with dependents
- To be eligible, students must submit a subsidy application and formal documentation confirming rental arrangement for the 2027 academic year (e.g., lease agreement and/or proof of rent payments)
- Eligible students will receive an email with a subsidy application attached. If you have not received this, please email uqrcs.enquiries@uq.edu.au so that we can provide you with this form.
The following students are also eligible for a relocation grant of $2000 (1 per household):–
- WB Learning Community students relocating from Bundaberg to Hervey Bay for Year 3 in 2027.
