The staff were friendly and very inclusive, and they allowed me several opportunities to take patient histories, perform exams, practice clinical reasoning and develop my clinical skills. Goondiwindi is an incredible place to practice medicine! Be prepared to be inspired, have a go, and be encouraged out of your comfort zone!
Being able to go between the GP clinic and the hospital meant that I got a wide range of experience and got to see how rural generalists go between the two to provide care for the community. All of the GPs and doctors in the hospital were welcoming, helpful and encouraged us to be involved. I have nothing but good things to say about my clinical experience here.
