We are always telling you that research skills will help you in your clinical career.  If you are wondering why, or just how much research is helpful for certain speciality training, come along to the UQMS Advancing Medical Careers through Research Event, Friday May 20th 3-5pm at the TRI Auditorium.

The UQMS Advancing Careers Event will feature clinician scientists from several specialties, who will share their inside knowledge on the selection process for specialist training programs. There will be ample time for Q&A. 

REGARDING COMPULSORY SCHEDULED LEARNING ACTIVITIES: For those students who have compulsory scheduled learning activities at this time, you will be permitted to attend this session in lieu of these activities, provided that you have discussed your attendance with your preceptor prior to this date. There will be an attendance sheet at the event that you be asked to sign.

RESEARCH REMINDERS TO EVERYONE: Please let us know what you so we can recognize you at graduation.

  • Register any research you are involved, and complete an Insurance Form, and
  • Report your research publications, presentations and awards.
