The MD Learning Hub Welcome Celebration is your chance to connect with your new classmates, meet the staff who will support you throughout your degree, and unwind after completing your very first week in the Medical School.
What to expect
This relaxed afternoon gathering will bring together first-year students, MD Learning Hub staff, the Dean of the Medical School, Riitta Partanen, and our student associations for a fun and friendly welcome to the year ahead.

About MD Orientation 2026
Congratulations on reaching the next important stage of your medical education journey. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to our Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at our multiple clinical schools across Queensland.
We have put together a diverse schedule of activities to introduce you to the University, medical program and what to expect during your studies. Throughout the first 3 weeks, you will engage with key members of the Medical School community, including Directors of our Clinical Schools, as well as a broad range of academic and professional staff. . Each of these people will play a key role in your learning and development as a future medical practitioner. There will also be opportunities to meet student representatives as well as other students in your cohort.
