This event is organised especially for rural students commencing their MD program at our Bundaberg Rural Clinical Unit.
Please arrive at 8:15am for an 8:30am start.

Together with our local Bundaberg Regional Clinical Unit team and Professor Brad Murphy, we are looking forward to welcoming you to the UQ Medical School, the Doctor of Medicine program, your Learning Community and the Doctor of Medicine rural student body.
About MD Orientation 2026
Congratulations on reaching the next important stage of your medical education journey. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to our Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at our multiple clinical schools across Queensland.
We have put together a diverse schedule of activities to introduce you to the University, medical program and what to expect during your studies. Throughout the first 3 weeks, you will engage with key members of the Medical School community, including Directors of our Clinical Schools, as well as a broad range of academic and professional staff. . Each of these people will play a key role in your learning and development as a future medical practitioner. There will also be opportunities to meet student representatives as well as other students in your cohort.
