Networking with the Acting Dean, Medical School - Bundaberg
About the event
Together with Professor Riitta Partanen, Dean, Medical School, we are delighted to invite you to a welcoming induction and networking session at the Bundaberg Rural Clinical Unit.
This is a significant milestone and important occasion for all MD students commencing their studies at our Bundaberg Rural Clinical Unit to attend.
What to expect
This session will provide the opportunity to:
- connect with the Acting Dean
- meet Bundaberg Rural Clinical Unit staff and hear from key contributors including MSST with Alex Dougan and a police liaison
- take part in a building induction at the Bundaberg Rural Clinical Unit
- hear an overview of the Immersion program from Nelson.
A catered lunch will be provided, offering further opportunity to network and engage with peers and staff.
We look forward to officially welcoming you to the Doctor of Medicine program in person and connecting over morning tea.
About MD Orientation 2026
Congratulations on reaching the next important stage of your medical education journey. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to our Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at our multiple clinical schools across Queensland.
We have put together a diverse schedule of activities to introduce you to the University, medical program and what to expect during your studies. Throughout the first 3 weeks, you will engage with key members of the Medical School community, including Directors of our Clinical Schools, as well as a broad range of academic and professional staff. . Each of these people will play a key role in your learning and development as a future medical practitioner. There will also be opportunities to meet student representatives as well as other students in your cohort.
