Together with Associate Professor Riitta Partanen, Director, Rural Clinical School, Professor Stuart Carney, Dean, Medical School, is delighted to invite you to a special evening of networking with the Rural Clinical School team, the Medical School Student Support team, your year 2, 3 and 4 peers as well as esteemed partners from the University of Queensland.
This event will offer a unique opportunity to connect with key figures in the medical community, expand your professional network, and engage in meaningful conversations about your MD studies and future career pathways. It’s a chance to gain valuable insights, explore potential collaborations, and further enhance your academic and professional journey.

About MD Orientation 2025
Congratulations on reaching the next important stage of your medical education journey. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to our Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at our multiple clinical schools across Queensland.
We have put together a diverse schedule of activities to introduce you to the University, medical program and what to expect during your studies. Throughout the first four weeks, you will engage with key members of the Medical School community, including the Director of the Academy for Medical Education, the Directors of our Clinical Schools, as well as a broad range of academic and professional staff. Each of these people will play a key role in your learning and development as a future medical practitioner. There will also be opportunities to meet student representatives as well as other students in your cohort.
