Are you new to Brisbane? Join us for an interactive information session with the UQ Student Services team to have all your accommodation, finance and health insurance questions answered. It will be a great opportunity to meet other international, interstate and Ochsner students in the MD program, ask any questions you may have about settling into Brisbane, try famous Aussie foods, learn some Aussie slang and cuddle a koala!
Location: Room 121 - ModWest Building (11A), St Lucia campus.
Please keep in mind that you should always prioritise your teaching and learning activities. We would recommend only attending this session providing that it does not conflict with your study commitments.
About MD Orientation 2024
Congratulations on reaching the next important stage of your medical education journey. We are very much looking forward to welcoming you to our Doctor of Medicine (MD) program at our beautiful St Lucia campus.
We have put together a diverse schedule of activities to introduce you to the University, medical program and what to expect during your studies. Throughout the first four weeks, you will engage with key members of the Medical School community, including the Director of the Academy for Medical Education, the Directors of our Clinical Schools, as well as a broad range of academic and professional staff. Each of these people will play a key role in your learning and development as a future medical practitioner. There will also be opportunities to meet student representatives as well as other students in your cohort and Learning Community.
