UQ Medical Student Research Immersion
This is an opportunity for students in 1st and 2nd year medicine to observe several research laboratories. It is voluntary (not graded) and involves student rotation through 3 different laboratories with 4 activities in each laboratory (located at either TRI or Herston) during Semester 2, 2019.
If you are interested in doing some research, but have little or no experience so far, try a ‘Research Immersion’ next semester.
Read the attached flyer carefully.
Please note: This program is different from the research elective in Semester 2 (MEDI7281). It is not a course or a degree. It is will not involve any formal assessment. It is a great way to get involved in a research environment, meet some researchers and see a variety of ‘live’ research happening here at UQ.
Apply by email to Associate Professor Graham Leggatt (g.leggatt@uq.edu.au) by sending your CV, year level, preference for southside/northside research labs and a short paragraph on your research interests by Friday 28th June.
