Testimonials

My placement in Woorabinda has been excellent, all the staff at the hospital were warm and welcoming and did not hesitate to show me learning opportunities. This placement is a great opportunity to practice and become confident on lots of clinical skills.

My placement at Woorabinda has been truly incredible. Whilst definitely thrown in the deep end, I have learnt so much about Indigenous health, acute care with limited resources, hands-on skills, and where to look/who to call when you have minimal backup.

The doctors were fantastic. They made me feel very welcome and like it wasn't a burden to have me there. They were always friendly and respectful. Always made sure I was around for suturing and cannulation opportunities and debriefed cases with me. Learned a great mix of GP and emergency medicine as well as practical tasks, like organising pathology and sending referral letters. The whole staff was friendly and keen to teach. I felt supported and enjoyed many opportunities to learn new skills in a safe environment. I would definitely recommend Woorabinda to anyone preferencing their RRM placement.
