My supervisor is Associated Professor Bradley Launikonis and I have been in his lab since the summer of 2016. Over the years, I have developed a keen appreciation for the intricacy of skeletal muscle structure and physiology.

My research is in the field of Ca2+ handling in skeletal muscle. In my current project, I’m looking at how mitochondria (the powerhouse of the cell) take up altered amounts of Ca2+ in disease states such as Malignant Hyperthermia.
