Prior to starting medicine, I completed my undergraduate studies at UQ with a Bachelor of Mathematics and Bachelor of Science. I was lucky enough to undertake multiple research projects throughout my undergraduate years that led me to meet my PHD supervisor, Professor Kristen Radford, who leads the Cancer Immunotherapies lab at Mater Research.

In 2020 I deferred commencement of my MD to undertake an honours year at Mater Research, after which I completed MD1 and MD2 before returning to Mater to start my PhD in 2023.

My lab’s research focuses on trying to understand the function of human dendritic cells, and discover how these cells can be harnessed or targeted to treat cancer. My PhD will focus on investigating dendritic cell function in ovarian cancer.
