Testimonials

Overall this placement was an amazing and interesting experience. The preceptors make an effort to teach a lot both about the community and rural medicine. This placement made me much more confident in my clinical skills primarily venesection, skin excisions and suturing.

My placement at Mundubbera Medical Centre has been amazing. The preceptor is a fantastic teacher and makes learning enjoyable. Everyone at the clinic work really well together and they make you feel at home right from the start. This block was the highlight of the semester.

All of the preceptors were fantastic. They provided good learning experiences for me and seemed genuinely interested in my learning. The accommodation was very good. Overall I was very happy with my placement.

Great placement location. The whole team out here are phenomenal. Excellent learning opportunities in both the hospital and the GP clinic. The preceptors and other staff love teaching and take the time to help you learn. Lots of practical hands-on experience and lots of opportunities to learn clinical skills. Would recommend to any medical student.

Couldn't have asked for a better placement. Gained a lot of valuable and varied practical experience. All staff went out of their way to get me extra practical experience (eg. calling me when a procedure needed to be done and letting me do it, calling about out of hours presentations/emergencies) and include me in discussions about management etc. They gave me relevant responsibilities, with appropriate oversight and feedback. I felt very included in the team from the start (both at the hospital and the clinic) and genuinely enjoyed being there.
