Late applications

In exceptional circumstances, students may apply for late consideration for an internal transfer.

Late applications can only be considered prior to the panel convening to consider applications. After this time late applications will not be considered.

To be considered for late consideration, students must demonstrate, with supporting documentation, that:

1. 1. exceptional circumstances existed that made it not possible to submit their application during the designated timeframe; or
   2. there has been a significant and unexpected change to their personal circumstances.

A lack of knowledge or awareness of the procedure to seek an internal transfer and the associated timelines is not considered a circumstance beyond a student’s control and does not meet the criteria for a late application to be considered.

All applications for late consideration will be assessed by the Senior Manager, Student and Academic Administration, Faculty of Medicine. If exceptional circumstances exist, the application will be considered as described above noting that all published eligibility criteria are still applicable.
