UQMD Indigenous Student Enrolment Strategy
Our purpose is to develop a model that supports strategic guidance and high-level leadership and coaching for MD students.
Target
An intake of 25 students per year with 100 Indigenous students enrolled in the UQ Doctor of Medicine by 2030.
There are several entry routes to the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program:
- Greater Brisbane Provisional Entry
- Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Admissions Pathway
- Central Queensland – Wide Bay Regional Medical Pathway
- Darling Downs – South West Medical Pathway
Vision and strategic goal
To foster a vibrant, culturally safe, and academically rigorous environment that enables the recruitment, retention, and graduation of 25 Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students per year, achieving a total enrolment of 100 students in the UQ MD Program by 2030.
