Brief overview:

Dr. Therapondos is currently working on multiple projects studying liver disease and its complications, liver transplantation and quality of life issues in liver patients.  Below are titles of some currently open studies: 

• Non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) in diabetics: determining the prevalence of advance liver fibrosis in diabetics in a tertiary referral center
• Does elective endoscopic variceal ligation require prophylactic antibiotics?
• Sarcopenia Predicts Poor Recovery In Liver Transplant
